What to feed
Choose a food labeled for large-breed puppies. Follow the bag as a starting point, then adjust with your vet as the pup gains. We send feeding notes in the starter kit so the first week matches what they already ate. Do not switch brands the night they arrive.
How often
Three meals a day is typical at this age. Two meals come later. Water stays available. Food does not stay in the bowl all afternoon. Free feeding makes house training harder and makes it easy to miss a pup who is off their food.
Habits that matter
- The puppy sits before the bowl hits the floor.
- Children do not put hands in the dish.
- No extra running right after a big meal.
- Treats count as food. Keep them small.
